Recall

Hey guys wasnt there a recall for the column lock supposed to be hitting the dealers in April/May? I thought it was for all yrs although I just spoke with dealer and he informed me he "thinks" it is just for 97s...is this so?
Any insight is appreciated as always!

you just need to give the dealership your VIN and they can tell you.

My 98 6spd is not part of the recall, but I am having column lock problems.

From the preliminary info I have recieved from GM I think the recall will apply to almost all the years. I just repaired a 98 with a locked up column and GM goodwilled the repairs because of the pending recall, it saved my customer a few pennies!!

They are being recalled by year,97's first and owners OF 97's are now receiving notices...The 1997 M6 is not being recalled,only the A4 :smash:
