I just got the 98 back from having new Toyo tires installed. Wow! The ols ones were Z06 F1's with about 2,000 miles of tread left. What a difference. The Toyos turn in better than the old tires and the ride is much more quiet. I got these for $ 800 shipped. I think I'm in love!
Drove the car to Columbus today and we got caught in a torrential downpour. The F1's were always a little scary in a heavy rain. The Toyos performed great. The dry grip is good, at least as good as F1's with 20,000 miles on them. I really like these tires.
I have them and feel like they are a little bit too cushy. I also have the full z06 suspension installed and had a chance to change from goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's. With the goodyears I could feel the road better. The toyos have a much deeper tread than the goodyears and maybe that is why they give more. I don't know. I am sticking with the toyos until goodyear comes out with the Eagle F1 GS-D3's in a z06 size.
