Default please,not again!

About 3 months ago,the check engine light came on and I lost all the power in my engine.i had the car re-tuned and I regained my power.today, the check engine light came on again and I lost all my power again. This is getting really expensive having the car tuned with the LS e-1 edit. Any suggestions to how I can correct this problem? The cycle seems to be about 3 months and the power is lost.Has this happened to anyone else?I checked the oil pressure, temperature.Every thing is normal. :chevy :chevy :flag :chevy :chevy

I think what you mean is U1016H U1064H and U1096H
If those are the codes just clear them and don't worry about them. I get them all the time. I have read that the trigger point for these codes is too sensitive and later models were corrrected. There are a zillion forum members that have chimed in on these over the yrears.

i just went to the store and the car wouldn't shift into reverse.i put the car into 1st gear and the car locked up.I played with the gear shift and finally got it into reverse and could back it out of the stall.i also notice my car doesn't have the positive shift when it shifts into second gear.i don't think the car is shifting from first to secnd gear.i lost the'snap from the transgo kit also.It shifts like it lost the shift points. When the tuner adjusted the shifting points with the LS E-1edit.I think thats why its gutless.I put the car in low gear and it locks up.Problems,problems. :chevy :chevy :flag :chevy :chevy

Rod, I do not know your specifics... the loss of communications is a common code... usually means a burp in the system,,, loss of communications to the PCm could, be a problem,,, its a trouble shooting issue... my first thought would be.. battery... is it new, old , original.. ? if it has been changed,,, do you know if it was leaking,.,... common problem.... and if so what kind of damage has it done... a little bit of acid leaking on the PCM could cause this failure... and it could have cause it months after the original battery was replaced.. with out knowing the specifics.. Im guessing battery or bad PCM... but ofcourse it could be many things ... battery and PCM are high on the culprit list, for the issues you describe

Would it make the transmission hard to shift?I douldn't get the transmission into 1st gear? When I put it into Drive,I could drive the car,but it doesn't seem to have any power, and the car isn't shifting correctly. :chevy :chevy :flag :chevy :chevy
