Engine question for future upgrade plans
While it may take me a few years to pull it off, I would really like to get an '03 Z06 and build it up into a streetable track car. While I have seen lots of stuff on header, cam, and head upgrade questions, I have a new one that I haven't seen before.
If I was thinking of installing a cam, heads, lifters, springs, rockers, etc., would it be a beneficial or advisable thing to get the block balanced and blueprinted while its stripped down? Has anyone done this? How much did it cost? Who did it for you? Are there other things to look for and think about, too?
I'm still at some beginning points in learning about what it takes to do such an extensive upgrade like I'm thinking about, so I hope I'm not asking too stupid of a question. I've done several things with my '03 Convertible 6-speed, but the limit of my abilities definitely stops with bolt ons at this point. Thanks for any heads up info.
