Runs pretty ragged right now. I've only put about 15 miles on it. Only codes that come up are P0106 (not on initial startup but later) and B0026 (and air bag light).
Not sure what may have caused the air bag warning ??
With the Kooks and Stingers it makes a lot of noise. I'll check the exhaust for leaks after a 100 miles or so.
I'll call MC Racing on Monday and see about a dyno-tune during the week sometime.
I'll post the tune data once complete. hope to see 450 at the wheels.
All in all feeling pretty good about it right now.
When you installed your drivers side header did you remove the steering shaft, if so the wheel could have spun and damaged the clock spring behind the air bag. That would give you a service air bag code. Let me know what happens. If so you must follow procedure to install new "clock Spring" here is a picture for making your own steering wheel puller. I used two 3/8" NC grade #8 bolts and ground them like this , used a conventional puller and it popped right off.
I want that cam!!!! How does it idle? You said that it is running pretty rough right now, is that what you are refering to? I will be driving through Kansas City on tuesday. Are you busy? Kaley
Dude, your a pimp. I've been wanting this cam as well. PLEASE let us know when you get it tuned and dyno'd. Is this your daily driver?
I did remove the steering shaft to get the headers in. Don't recall whether the steering wheel rotated at all once the shaft was off, don't believe so.
I'm taking it to get tuned later this week, I'll see if they can diagnose it any better before I start tearing things apart.
Thanks for the tip!
Budmont - The JPR cam install tools is two rods, 17" long each, two side are flat (1/4" and 7/16") and then it is rounded between the two forming about a 90 degree wedge. Hope this answers your question.
afr heads, lg longtubes. mezierre water pump, lsx intake with 90mm throttle body... I smell 520 rwhp. Bro, I think I'm more exited about the tune and dyno than you are! You say its ruff right now, will it even stay running? Elaborate on what its doing now please..
