Can a new tire cause a pull?

I had to mount a new tire on the rear passenger side which has a fair amount more tread than the driver's side rear. Could this cause a slight pull to the left? Thanx. :seeya

yes it can.
check the circumference, you may have introduced some stagger .
Stagger is good for circle track but bad for the road

Oh god yes, always replace in pairs. I have even had a difference in tire pressure cause the car to pull.

Sure can, other than the previous causes mentioned I had a radial pull which was due to something with the radial plys in the tire. Switching it to the other side or the rear (all sizes being equal) might help if this is the cause of the pull. Just my .02

make sure you check your air pressure, this will make it pull if you have one tire lower than another. :yesnod:

This stagger can also cause premature wear of the clutchpack in the differential, since the right wheel will be turning slightly slower than the left. As said above, you should replace these in pairs.
