I have the older style , rubber hangers from rear floor,, decent fit, did hit suspension cradle and was a bear to get it to stop,, but i would suggest one of the used ones for 250.00...I have headers with cats and it is LOUD ,,no doubt about it,,,,

I like it. It's the mac daddy of exhaust sytems. When and if you get cam and heads, people will think that Jeff Gordon is coming down the street.

I had the loudmouth on my '97 and it's definitely loud. It sounded awesome at idle and all through the rev range. But the resonance was horrible. Be prepared to have your head feel like it's stuck in a bees nest if you put it on.

I had the slp loud mouth exhaust on my 97 coupe a year ago, drove around for 1 year and I couldnt stand it anymore, yes you get a lot of compliments and it does sound good, but in the car the resonance is so bad, Im 20 years old and I like loud exhausts but this was just to much. Check out Borla also, they make an over the axel pipe with dual tips that look real nice, haha i actually just bought them from a forum member here cause I love the look of borla tips and i started missing the loud noise. Im now gonna keep 2 sets of exhausts, the borla (same idea as slp) for the summer and the GHL's for the winter. I think if you do a lot of driving on the high way with the windows up and the top on then the loud exhausts will kill you. But in the summer I usually take the top off so its not that bad (resonance). The old style slp loudmouth exhausts have real crappy tips they look like the old c5's with no tips. If you are going to get the SLP's over the borla get the new style they look so much better. I have been through so many exhausts its funny, if you have any questions im me.
Martin

Sorry to bring this back from the dead....I just found out that my 01 z06 has these on it. I actually like the way they sound and pop and all that....but I do agree it gets a little loud inside the cabin at certain RPM ranges.
