Default A4 running BFG drag radials

Iam running my 2000 A4 with the stock TC at the track with BFG drag radials.
I can't seem to get a consistent 60' time at any pressure. My first run right
off the street with 26 lbs I got a 1.93 60' then after the car cooled down I got
a 2.02 60'. I dropped the pressure to 20 lbs got 2.0s again dropped the
pressure to 16 lbs got a 1.95 then a 2.03 60' times. Is there a trick to getting
consistant 60' times with the A4. It seems more consistent with my old Z06
tires then with the 3.15x30x18 BGF DRs.

How is your burnout prior to the run?

Drag Radials are ususally pretty consistent for my A4 setup. Try being consistent on the burnout time ( I burn for 10 sec. and on to the staging area) Also I recommend tire pressure set at 12 psi. the track might be poorly maintained, that is a common problem at my local track.

I used to run mine at 16-18 psi and launch around 2500 rpms. The tires must be hot from a decent burnout in order to hook. I could never get consistent with the drag radials, therefore I went to the ET Streets which hook like a big dog. Track prep also has a lot to do with it.

I usually just spin them enough to just clean them off. Your 10 second
burnout is that without a linelock ? I seem to have a lot of trouble getting
a nice clean burnout. Can you explain how to perform a proper burnout
and then how to properly launch the car with a stock TC ?

I have an 02 with stock gears and TC, running the 295/35/18 BFG's.
On the street i cant even spin them but at the local track i go to they DO NOT prep it on sat nights(when i go) and my 60' do the same thing, sometimes hook but usually get 2.1 plus. On a well prepped track i pull 1.9xx consistently which is about as good as your going to get with a stock TC. :chevy

I am running stock size DR (295) at 20psi. I think the car and the tires have more than I can drive so far, as even when I screw up the burn out and they are not hot, I still get 18 or low 1.9 60. I have only 12 runs, but I am having fun. Seems like the key to warming them up is to get in the throttle slow in the pit. I don't have a line lock (oviously) and I think that might be next. Good luck!
