Default Weld in replacement mufflers?

Are their any companies that offer a weld in muffler that will replace the stock ones? I know most people just buy a full cat-back, or header-back system.

I'm looking for a muffler with similar dimensions and the single in-dual out on the same side.

Wondering if anyone knew anywhere to look? Thanks

If you're going to custom it, it doesn't have to be single in dual out on the same side. You can do something like a borla stinger where the outlet is towards the outside of the car, and wind back to the center.

JCL here on the Forum has something that might interest you, I think. Not a replacement muffler per se, but something that uses your stock over-axle pipes and replaces the mufflers entirely. http://www.spiralturbobaffles.com. Very cost-efficient and good performance. Different than the regular cat-back systems out there.

http://www.spintechmufflers.com I think they are about $100 each. If you do happen to get these let me know how they work out.

Well, it is going to be a custom job, but it's going on my '96 Mystic Cobra and it's going to be side exit exhaust.

I already had a setup custom made for my car using a stock '01 catback and tips. Now I was looking for a little more sound to go along with it.

I have some pics on my site, http://www.mystic96gtx.corral.net I would link them, but it's not allowed

I did search those 2 sites, and I didn't really see much that would help. I was hoping for something like a Flowmaster or Borla muffler that one could just swap the stock one for, instead of having to butcher a brand new catback system and make it into side exhaust.
