I saw 315's x 18's BFG's on a coupe with aftermarket wheels. I don't know rim width or offsets but the profile was either 30 or 35. They looked hugh but they did clear - The owner claims they never rub?
:iagree: A bit bigger than stock, but not by much. Tire manufacturers will say "No", as will all who haven't tried it. I'm running 275s up front for autocross on stock C5 wheels (8.5"). Tire wear has been just as good as anyone else's. No rubbing, either.
Now, I've spoken with a fellow racer that was running 315s up front, and he said they rubbed slightly at full lock. So, I think 295s would probably have little or no rubbing problems, although honestly I haven't heard anyone running that size.
315's are a little wide on a 10.5, but they will work fine. In my opinion: 295 will probalby rub lock to lock on the front at times . My 285's are really close. Whatever you decide, just be sure that your front to rear height is about 1" difference or it will throw your active handling off..
