Kook's Off road x-pipe question??
I just took my Kook's out of the box to look at them(after 2 weeks) and have realized I recieved the off road x-pipe instead of the hiflow cats that I ordered. Question is, does it throw any codes to intall this sytem, and how will it be different from the one with cats? I plan on getting the car tuned afterwards anyway. Let me know. Thanks.
BTW, I don't think i could wait another 6 weeks for the new parts to come. :rolleyes:

You can either use 02sims (small modules that plug into your rear 02 sensor wiring harness connectors) or if the car's getting tuned, the rear 02 sensors can be edited out at that time.
Either method works to prevent throwing codes caused by not using cats.

Thanks Y2K, where can i get 02 sims, and how much do they run?? That is a pretty wild engine bay you've got!! Very :cool:

The cheapest I've seen them is at Speed,Inc. $89.99/pair. http://www.ls1speed.com/catagory.cfm?catagory=pcm (scroll down the page until you see "02 simulators).
They are also a common item to see for sale on the parts forum. You may want to check there, or post a WTB ad for them.
