Default TC, can i do it myself

I've finally decided on a torque converter, the SS3200 but was wondering how difficult it would be to install myself. What are the tools i would need, how long would it take me?
Thanks for any advice :flag

Take a look at this and then you decide. The guy here is changing the differential and installing a Super Yank 3500.

Coincidently, the procedure described in the link is EXACTLY what I'm doing to my car soon, right down to the B&M cooler!

I didn't realize that Mike had changed out his own torque converter too.

Thanks for the link

It is very involved and unless you have the tools and the skills, you're better off paying someone to do it right the first time. That or a good friend or friends who have experience with drivelines, access to a lift, jacks, various tools....... not worth the downside of possibly screwing something up.

Fasten. Just remember you don't have to drop the torque tube. Here is another link where I did my own. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=748467

Good luck.

It is a little involved, but can be done with normal hand tools, a jack, and jack stands. Use of the above docs, take your time, and it can be done.

you're correct; I kept the stock TC. But it is near the same procedure:
