HVAC Blower problem

Essentially, the system believes that the blower is operating (from the fan level indicator) but in reality the blower is not engaged at all. It was working about a month ago and suddenly stopped.
I've checked all the fuses I could find that had anything to do with the HVAC system, including the ones under the passenger side footrest.
I do not know how to check the relays so perhaps the problem is with one of those?
The system console looks like there's nothing wrong except there's no air coming out.
I have the dual zone console.
I will pull the codes during my lunch break and see if there are any HVAC realted ones.
Thanks for any help!
Chris

I have pulled all the codes and there were zero codes for the HVAC category. The only codes I had were from IPC and they were the same loss of communication errors that happen from time to time.
So, no codes.
I just pulled and replaced every related fuse and relay in both fuse boxes.
I can hear the relay(s) "click" when I switch the HVAC system on and off so something is happening there. The console still thinks it's doing it's job.
My only other guess is that the blower went bad, but wouldn't that throw a code?
A relay could be bad but I had a hard time finding relays that correspond to the blower. Only fuses.
I'm out of ideas.... Anybody got any?

My car is a 2000 coupe with 60K miles on it.
Vette Virgin, I'm one of those freaky New Englanders who put the snow tires on and drive the car all winter. :reddevil So I definitely don't have a mice problem. I do know how destructive those little beggars can be so I can understand the MESS they would have made. Sorry to hear that it happened to you...
Thanks for replying guys...
Chris
The part only costs about $75 on GM Parts Direct, and took me about 30 minutes to install. It's worth a shot, and it least then it boils down the problem to something electrical/relay related if that does not solve the problem.

Is there only one fan?
What was the part number and where does the part go / how do you replace it?

the PN for your car will probably be different, since my is a '97 - the fan I put in was an updated part number, and did look a little different than my original. Just go to your dealer and tell them you need to replace the HVAC fan, and they'll look up the appropriate number for you.
The fan is located on the passenger side, above where the passenger's feet go. So, if you crawl down in the passenger footwell and look up, you'd be looking at where the fan goes. There is a small "close out" panel that has a small light in it that you must remove to access the fan. Once that is out of the way, three small (7mm?) bolts hold the fan in place, along with its wire clip.
Things are a bit tight in there, so just take your time. I found it made things a lot easier to remove my passenger seat, that way I wasn't really cramped in there.
I might still have some diagrams lying around that folks faxed to me back when I asked about it, but it is a straightforward procedure.
Let me know if I can be of any more help,
-Jake
