Default Anyone pull a C5 engine out the top??

I've pulled two out the correct way (through the bottom) but I'm in an area where it's not conducive to do so, currently. I need to get it out through the top and for the life of me I can't see a way of doing it that doesn't require dropping the front crossmember. Help a C4 guy out, here...

I have done it as well. Not easy, but possible.
With the car on large heavy duty jackstands, and after removing all the interference in front of the engine including ABS module, radiator, power steering rack, we essentially dropped the front crossmember, engine and clutch out the bottom, unbolted the engine from the crossmember subassembly, then lifted the engine forward and out. We used three jacks to support the crossmember and engine while transitioning from jacks to hoist.
