Steering/column lock question???
When the dealer did the TSB on my 99 for the locking column is the wheel suppost to still lock with the key out? Someone installed a kit they said was GM and it doesn't lock the wheel with the key out. Did they install the after market kit to get those results? Thanks

With the A4 the steering wheel will not lock. When the ignition is turned off and the key removed, you will hear the lock motor actuate, even though it does not lock the wheel.
With the M6 the steering wheel will lock.
