spark plug gap...
I just installed a set of the NGK Tr55IX Iridium plugs and was told to gap them at .055 and not .060....any problems with this recommendation??
I ask, because I feel a very slight hesitation as if the air conditioner were on.
Thanks!
Sorry if it's been :beatdeadhorse: already :D

From wht I've heard, due to the efficiency/design of the iridiums, you are to leave them at the .040 gap and to be careful of damaging due to gapping.

Re: spark plug gap... (BHP)
I checked the gap on my stock plugs and they were at .045 so I went with .050 on the Iridium NGK's
The car drove fine.
Thanks guys!!

I was wrong. I just checked the box and it stated to not gap. So I didn't. Whatever they were at is how I installed them. Sorry If mislead...

I got the same plugs you got; they came gapped at .060 out of the box. I left them that way and they run fine. I don't think it runs noticeably better than the stock ones which I think are very similar to the TR55ixs. :chevy
