What to do next?? H/C or just juice it up?? Shooting for 400rwhp
Well finished with the bolt-ons, B&B Bullets, Offroad X-Pipe (No Cats), VaraRam Intake & Air Bridge, Stock MAF (removed screen) and B&M Ripper Shifter. Headers are on the way. I shooting for a 350rwhp MAYBE 360 after dyno tuning. What to get at least to 400rwhp.
What do you guys say is cams and heads worth the money for the hp??
Or should I just juice the boy up??
Not going charger or turbo, daily driver. Need the fuel mileage.
I don't think your going to be anywhere near 360 rwhp on a non Z06 04 (at least on a Mustang dyno) with your mods. No offense. Next ste is either H/C or FI.
I agree ,no way your going to see 360 RWHP with your current mods. I have the same mods, Blackwing, Borla, plus LS1 edit and Dyno tuned no headers yet there coming as of now I'm at 315 RWHP and thats very good.
It would take a Cam + Headers or H/C + Headers or FI to get 360 rwhp. Figure stock the cars have 270-290. You can get another 20 to 25 by simple bolt-ons and then it starts to get real expensive.
Well my friend has all bolt-ons that I have and he dynoed at 352rwhp with no tuning. I dynoed my car stock and it was at 299 rwhp (not a mustang dyno).

352 on a Dynojet would be about 330 (and this is being generous) on a properly calibrated Mustang dyno.

So what's the difference between a dyno & a "mustang dyno"?? Which is the real one?? Cause I tough a dyno is a dyno and rwhp are the same. So if I dyno on a mustang dyno I get less rwhp than at other dynos? Getting kind of confusing
I tough that mustang dynos were different cause they set it up for a solid real axle and that's why vettes dynoed much less there. Which dyno offers the real power figures?
My 99 FRC did 325/330 torque after numerous runs on dynojet. Mods included MAF-T, X-Pipe, descreened MAF. Notice stock exhaust....I would be willing to bet headers would add perhaps 20 hp. 360 would be long shot however without H/C.

I agree w/Mark. I've got similar intake/exhaust add-on mods plus Z06 intake manifold then dyno tuning by Norris Automotive on a 2000 coupe. 317 rwhp. Headers would be next for me. I'm staying away from cams/blowers because at some point in time you might have to upgrade the rest of the power train and then it gets really expensive for a daily driver. But for sheer fun I had it lowered and put on Hotchkis sway bars and now just driving around is a blast.
