Most modern mufflers don't have any packing material inside so they don't "burn out" like the old glass packs. The Ti mufflers will probably last longer than you or I will. The Ti mufflers won't sound the same on a coupe as they do on a Z06 though.

I have them on my FRC for almost 30,000 miles now. The sound has changed a little bit, got deeper and purrs nicely, no droning. It doesn't sound like a ZO6 but then it isn't a ZO6. Really does sound good to me and not too loud except at WOT. :flag
Yes, my ti's have become a little more "throaty" in the year they have been on. Btw, I don't know about battleships, but many submarine parts exposed to the elements ARE made of titanium.
Again, I'm glad so many swap out such a great system and sell them to the rest of us so cheaply. :lolg: :lolg: :lolg:
In Iraq I Air Force A-10 gunships were flying day after day, killing tanks and frequently coming back with battle scars....wonder what from...and those things were patched and sent right back out to kill more tanks. The A-10 is a crude titanium armored flying tank, but damn effective. The F-22 has the largest titanium components ever. Titanium has also been proposed for use for use in the nosecone of bunker-busting mini-nucs. I figure if titanium is good enough for the most lethal weapons of the worlds BEST military, then it's good enough for my Vette....it's the American way!
