will the piston hit the head

4.06 bore 4.00 stroke and the piston is at zero deck in a steel block with a .040 compressed gasket do you think the piston will hit the head.

If the piston is at Zero deck and the gasket is .040 thickness, then there is .040 between the top of the piston and the closest part of the head.. so there should be no reason for the piston to hit the head. But if you have a large cam and insufficient valve reliefs in your piston, you may have some problems with piston to valve contact.

If the piston is made for the crank and rod being used, then no it wont, but if you use stock pistons with that crank, it will obviously hit.
