I don't know what the wheel weight is but there is a difference between 01 and later Z06 wheel weights. They switched from forged aluminum to cast-spun saving .6kg(1.3 lbs) total.

Yes, the '01 Z06 wheels are heavier. As I remember the weights of '02+ wheels are ~19 front and ~20 rear without tires. I have the exact #'s at work. Drop me an email and I'll send them to you.
Around 19lbs for the rears, 17lbs for the fronts if I remember correctly.
So how does that compare to the stock thin spoke wheels?
98's didn't have thin spokes. Unless the Magnesium wheel option was selected a '98 would have wagon wheels. More info might be found if posted in the Wheel and Tire forum, where much knowledge of wheels and tires is shared.
I weighed mine (stock and oem Z's) when I switched but don't see the figures in the file at the moment. I'm sure someone will supply both before I can check tomorrow.
In any event, the Z06 wheel and tire combo is considerably lighter than the stock wheels and runflats. This is the best change I've made to my coupe and the one that Car and Driver found made the most difference in handling in their tests a while back.
And, you can still use your pressure sensors! I love it.
