Default Window Valet questions.

I have a Window Valet and a new C5. I was wondering if I need to reprogram it in my new C5 or if I could just plug it in and it will remember my settings programed by my previous C5. Essentially, do you need to reprogram the Window Valet when moving if from vette to vette, or does it remember the settings?

Thanks,

AZC5

You may need to recalibrate the windows with it, but other than that, it should work seamlessly. (At least I think it should; I haven't tried moving my window valets from one vette to the other.)

Edit: Update, last night I moved one window valet to a C5 that had never had a window valet installed in it. Triple clicked the unlock, and the windows rolled down, followed by a triple click of the lock, and they rolled back up. No configuration issues at all.

I think (that is not 100% sure) You will have to reprogram it - I am pretty sure it is the PCM that holds the program, I have unplugged mine several times to plug in my Predator, the PCM has retained the window Valet settings, and I am pretty sure there is no bettery in the Valet itself.. Again this is PURE assumption

But no biggie - it is easy to do... and if you are like me and lost the directions, you can email the company

I don't know anyone that has one in their C5. I'd like to see one in action, sounds like a good thing!

What is the PIN? The last 4 digits of the serial number? The websit says refer to printed documentation.

Hey man! Congrats on the new car!! Bill told me about it the other day.

The pin is indeed the last four digits of the serial number. It says it under section (9) of the instructions.

Later!

Mike
