The OEM Battery (after forgetting to turn off various added devices too many times) wouldn't take a charge (lights on and within a minute voltage dropped below 10 volts) and after jumping it to get home I replaced it with a red top optima. I noticed that the area around the top edge of the battery was moist. Hum could I have acid leakage. Fortunately no. New optima seems great.
I do have a question. It seems like the car runs better with the new battery. Am I being mental (car always runs better after it's washed and polished) or was my old battery loading the alternator such that I would feel the couple of HP being wasted when the waste was removed. What do you guys think. I'm just curious.
