Lifting question
I just had a tire guy (who is a TireRack recommended installer) tell me that he didn't need to have jacking pucks because he would lift my car by the control arms.
Either this guy knows something I don't or I should run away as fast as I can.
Which is it?

The actual recommended lifting points are the front and rear crossmembers.

Your owner's manual shows the acceptable lift points. You can lift at the crossmembers. I still prefer the frame shipping points and use the pucks there on my lift.
