Aloha all, I am about to order the i/c Mag for my 2003 Z06. In doing some research I found out that the mid 2002 and newer C5/Z06's came with a fuel system that is possibly much more difficult (or maybe impossible) to upgrade. I am really hoping to find out that I will not need to run a Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump. So who has the 411 on the fuel system and whaty available upgrades are there for me?
I know many people with over 500rwhp NA using the sotck fuel system with just injectors.
On s/c applications, I see some using the Racentronix setup or boost a pump. I'm not sure if they are being extra cautious or not.
Yep it's the actual pump issue that is worrying me.....I'm not particularly fond of the KB Boost A Pump. I'm hoping I'll be able to fuly upgrade the pump.

Check your build sheet for "FFS" fuel system. That is the one that cannot be upgraded at the time, no one was aware of this. An easier way is to pull the Passenger side rear tire and see if there is an access panel partially hidden by the wheel well. Should be just above the area of the caliper on the frame. If you see it, then you have the dreaded FFS system. The upgraded pump (I'm assuming Magnuson) in the kit will not fit. Had the same prob. Went with KB, LPE recommended. So far so good.
Thanks guys. Yes, it's the i/c Mag I'm planning on. WayneE at z06vette.com was mentioning that he is running only larger injectors and has had no problems in the mid 500HP range......I'm crossing my fingers!

Thanks in advance! Dave
Drop the inspection cover underneath your gas tank (two bolts).
If the sending unit is visible from the back of the tank (yellow connector) then you are in luck. The current Racetronix system will work for you.
If not then the new upcoming Racetronix system will be available in a apx. 1-2 months.
