Unreal... I finally figured out the fix for my window rattle and like a dumb a**, I scratched the inside of the driver's window.
The scratch is not deep, but in an effort to try and get it out I used this RainX glass rubbing compound stuff and it put further hairline scratches in the glass.
Does anyone know if minor scratches can be buffed out by a reputable glass shop?
ive had guys use steal wool on my windows to get out overspray and also removed the rain etching that i had. Lots of work to smooth it in.
I would suggest you go to a window dent repair shop the silicon they have may fill in the cracks and then you can buff or use wax even to fill or smooth in the hairline scratches..
FWIW, I used clay bar on my windows and it works great. I had some fine scratches on my winshield and I can't see or feel them anymore plus it takes any spots off of the glass. ANOTHER use for clay!
