It will work but its a pain to put on since its a spray on you have to be careful with the overspray. I did it on my 99' and it came out great but it took plenty of prep. Unfortunately I don't remember the color I used but I can tell you I bought three colors before I found one that matched. After all was said and done I would recomend that you just go with the Foliatech 2 part epoxy paint that you use a brush to apply. It will be more expensive but its also alot easier to put on.

It works fine, on my 97 I spray painted the calipers Silver and painted the letters to match my car...I did a track event and had no problems at all with the paint buring off or changing color.

rustolem(sp?) sunrise red is a perfect match for the ZO6 calipers. I did my calipers on the last two vettes the 97 went almost a 100k with no problems. Make sure there clean and tape off anything you dont want painted

I don't think I would try the spray it into a cup method. The folliatech stuff is only like $30-40 and its made for that. To use the spray method I cut a hole in some large trash bags and then masked everything off. I also pulled the pads out so they would not get paint on them, I could not get them taped up well enough without doing it that way removing the pads and I don't like the look of some peoples painted pads. You don't need to bleed the brakes just hang them in there with some heavy guage wire and then tape the pistons and spray. I also prepped with some brake cleaner followed by some paint remover stuff with a rag. Once they have dried you just make a sanding block and sand the letters so they show through.

Plasti-Kote engine enamel, universal red, worked great for me although I've never taken it to the track.

If I were to do it over, I would take the caliper off entirely. Makes painting easier.

You don't need to go through all that "spray in a cup" stuff. I bought Rustoleum Sunrise Red in a pint can, cheaper, easy to brush on, and works fine. Enough there to do multile coats on multiple cars. Even with "spirited driving" but not actual track road racing the color hasn't changed, looks good after 2 years.

Yes, it will work, but be careful to mask the area well to protect from overspray. I went with the Folia Tec paint also about 2 1/2 years ago and the calipers still look great. Expensive, but it is hard as a rock on there.

I agree with the Rustoleum posts. I have used it on two cars with great results. You don't need all the fancy (and high $$$) paint made for calipers - you don't need high temp paint. I have just put on one coat of Rustoleum on both C5's I've had. In both cases I have had the cars about 18 months after painting them, and they still look as if I painted them yesterday.

Krylon should work just find.
On my C3 I used Rustoleum and it is holding up fine.
On the C5 I used Dupont auto paint. Painted them the same color as the car... Mag Red Metallic II. New calipers, sanded, primed, base coat, tint coat and topped it off with clearcoat.
