Funny sound when turning car off....Normal?

Default Funny sound when turning car off....Normal?
Didn't know if this is a C5 quirk or not. When you turn off the engine it has a funny sound to it. Doesn't just cut strait off. I have no clue how to describe it. It doesn't last more than 1 second at the most; sounds like the motor is winding down. Does this make any sense or do I need to go to bed for the night?

The sound is actually from the drive train coupling and is common on M6 C5's. Sound is sometimes described a "something rattling in a tin can".

If you have an M6, keep the clutch pushed in while you shut off the ignition to prevent the sound.
