Typical install time for the first timers on the ground on jackstands is probably 3 hours form end to end. I sugest a racetronix kit ($300is) as it includes instruction and even rubber line and jumper to drain the tank.
The second on you do will be less than 1h.

Go to the A&A website and download the Racetronix install procedure. It took me 2 hours to empty the tank and R&R the pump. Very easy and not worth $2000. Unless you want to pay me, then come on down. I take cash.

I just replaced my pump for the second time last night.... Took about an hour the second time by myself and about 3 hours the first time with a friend...
I consider myself a weekend mechanic and i did it with no problems..
