Default MAT Sensor Relocation

Hey guys, just bought a carbon fiber airbridge and I have to drill the thing for the MAT sensor. Should I just put it in the stock location or relocate to the opposite side to the front. If the answer is relocate can I just splice in wires to get the length I need?

thanks,

later,

I tried it, but moved it back, no noticeable improvement...keep it in the stock location.

While you won't feel a SOTP improvement, it only makes sense to put it as far forward in the airbridge as possible with the stock wires to sense the cooler air. That is why on later year C5's the sensor is in the MAF. I put mine just behind the MAF at the extreme forward end of the airbridge, and the stock wire was plenty long enough to do so.
