Does anyone know if AC-931 25162487 is the stock plug that comes with 'Hockey Pucks" ? (on a 1998 C5 Coupe)
I just changed my plugs today at 77,854 miles to Bosch Plus 4's, car seems to run smoother and have better throttle response. Idle is still a little lumpy (guess due to cam).
None of my plugs had a hockey puck, didn't look too bad though, gap was wide (I estimate .070).

It's been some time but ti sounds like the right part number. Mine had 5 lugs with pucks still (2000 HT) but I changed them at 20,000 miles.

I've wondered about the relationship between missing spark plug pucks and oil consumption. How does your LS1 do with oil?
I pulled mine out at 15K miles and all the pucks were accounted for and no oil consuption.

I had sevral puck missing and don't consume oil when not on the track. And this is a car that has 4 years of heavy roadcourse use. These pucks are no bigger than a pencil dot. I believe they blow right out the exhaust port.

My C5 uses NO oil between changes (I go by the DIC which is usually 6200-6800 miles, by the way I've backed up these intervals by Oil Analysis, they say I can go longer, but as I have an extended warrenty I go by my DIC). My oil doesn't even change color that much, it never gets very dark.
I don't think the 97-99 C5's had a oil consumption issue, I think they changed rings later that gave problems.
