Diff/Tranny Fluid Question
Just finished the diff and tranny fluid changes. Got 3 1/2 quarts out and in on the tranny.
However, got 2.1 quarts out of the diff and couldn't get near that much back in without it coming back out of the fill hole. Got maybe 1 1/2 back in.
Question: I know I need to go do some figure 8's to "work" the fluid in there. Should I be able to add more fluid after the figure 8's or does that make no difference in the level at the fill plug?
Tip: The http://www.woosch.com/tranny_diff_fluid_change.htm web page helped a lot. That tranny was auto though. If you have a manual like me, you don't need the 11/16" wrench because there is no electrical connector on the fill plug.
