Ive got my used Bassani headers and am looking forward to the install. But which gaskets did you use with your bassani headers?? Your old stock ones, new LS-1 gaskets, or did Bassani send you "special" gaskets with their headers??. I didnt get any gaskets since I bought these used. Thanks guys.
Bassani has their own gaskets which are excellent. Are your headers their original headers or the tri-y design? Bassani's # is 1-866-782-3283 to find a dealer near you, or call me at 1-866-462-4500, I can get a set to you.

Please let us know how the install goes. I wonder with the try y if its gona be a pain and have to lift the engine like the kooks. I have heard the torque is strong at the low R’s.
There is a Corvette Fever Magazine article showing the install and horsepower and torq graphs at www.vincihighperformance.com ,it is a great guide for your install. The sound quality with the bassani free flow cats and the x-pipe muffler is the best.
I installed the Bassanni Headers a few months ago. The installation sounds like it would be easy given that the headers are actually in several parts (each side was actually a combination of 3 pieces). While this would make it easier to fit into the car, the problem was with getting the bolts to line up properly (knowing how far each piece went into each other was the difficult part).
It took us a little longer than we anticipated because of getting the bolt holes to line up. Once in though, it worked very well (I also had a problem with the AIR tube on the Passenger side and had to modify it a bit - the stock location connected in the center while the Bassanni mounted in rear).
All in all, it is a great header and a great sound (I used the stock cats but already had an x-pipe and borla stingers). I changed the clutch and rear gears at the same time so I can't say for sure how much the headers helped alone but I can definately say it is harder getting the grin off my face now.
