Default borla Stinger system?

Hey guys how happy are you with it? Is it annoying on the interstate? Also I'm wanting the 4 tip is the any differences in the systems performance wise. I don't like the look of the 2 tips. Also how will it sound with the corsa X-pipe? what kind of performance gains will I be looking at?

I've got the 4-tip and am completely satisified.

Night and day difference in exhaust note, even before the headers and cam.

Drove to the Z06FEST last year right after the Stinger install and had just a little resonance between 2000-2500rpm, but not that annoying.

On the Z06 I don't know that there is a very perceiveable change in performance, maybe it leaps a little quicker now with less exhaust restriction. Again, this is prior to any of the cam, headers, pulley work.

Maybe more dramatic difference on a coupe.

I love mine. I had the Stingers with a Bassani x-pipe until this past weekend. The sound and looks are awesome. There was a little resonace in the 2k-3k RPM range, more than tolerable. The wife never complained. I now have 1-3/4" Kook's and they sound even better.
You wont be disapointed.

I love my 2 tip stingers! Nice old school rumble at idle, screams at WOT. Not bad at all on cruising speeds, but there is some resonance around 2k rpms - not real bad...IMO, but its best to hear it for yourself!

I love them, wife hates them. On the highway it will be annoying to hold a conversation, even with the partition, but that is sometimes a good thing
If you can deal with that fact then get them, they sound great, gimme your email address and I can send you a clip of mine running down the track, they sound awesome there...
As for performance, on my car, the dyo's were the same before and after the install, I think those Titanium pipes must flow pretty darn well.

thanks guys for the info It's really a toss up for me right now between the ZO6 ti's and the borla's. This car gets driven everyday and I don't want something annoying. But factory is way to quiet. and now with the corsa x-pipe on it there is a resonance at 1400rpm that I want to get rid of. I think opening up the rear section will help that.

Definitely don't go the Z06 Ti in my opinion. You'll have to turn the radio way down and not talk to hear the difference (again IMHO).

Sure you'll save some weight, but not much over the stingers.

My only complaint with the Stingers is that they aren't as loud as a wanted (I was kind of shooting for obnoxious ).

I have NO resonation except for a narrow band right at 3k at only a certain throttle %. I like it. They're real steady soundwise to the point that I know my RPM without looking at the tach and only shift based on the tach when I'm takin' her to redline.

I think you'll love them.

If you are looking for obnoxious. Just drop in a cam and add some LT headers then remove the cats. Trust me!!! It will be insanely LOUD. I had that setup and had the pull the Stingers off b/c the police were following me around.
The RT cats go on tomorrow and the Stingers will go back on too. Hopefully the cats will help tame the beast and the Stingers can stay this time. We shall see soon eough.

Get them. You won't regret it. It's the single greatest sound on the planet. Can't wait to get some LT's and x-pipe on. Then they'll really sing.

I had Corsa Indy's and was finally convinced to switch to Stingers! Corsa make the best looking tips (IMO) but for an exquisite, exhaust sound, Stingers are tremendous. Yes, there is some resonance around 1800 to 2000 rpms but its not bad. If this is an issue, don't go with Stingers! But if you like a deep, rich exhaust sound, then do!!

PS - If you are considering headers and a cam then be warned, it WILL be louder!!

I got mine put on today.....

Driving around w/ my girlfriend...my face was:
Her face was:

I love the sound!!! Whats best is that you can almost totally negate the sound if you'd like to w/ a little practice determining when the volume comes on. If you want the car to be quiet, you can drive it quietly...If you want the car to scream like a bat outta hell, you can drive it like that.

I think they're awesome! Great sound! Coupled with my H/C package and headers - they really scream. Puts a smile on my face every day.
