Default LOW WASHER FLUID DIC Message

I get "Low Washer Fluid" message on the DIC about 1 minute after I start the car. I have checked the connections and fluid level and they all look fine.

Has anyone had a similar problem or any suggestions? TIA!

I had a similar problem, the sensor is an float arm that should easily pivot with the fluid level, the problem is the pivot point was too tight and the arm did not move freely. I took the sensor out, removed the pin and filed the arm a little then put it all back together, now it works fine. The entire job is about 15 minutes long, pretty easy for a DIY'er.

Yes I know what you're talking about. I checked the float arm and it seems to move freely.
Perhaps I put the sensor back in wrong. Should it be in the tank so that the float arm is down? Should it be in at a certain angle/degree?

I had the same problem when I installed the sensor the wrong way. I'm not sure which way the float goes but I can tell you the clip on the electrical connector needs to be on the bottom.

That may be the problem. I have the connector clip facing up! Thanks for the reply.

I did the same thing a few months ago while installing an adjustable master cylinder. We took the sensor out and when we put it back in the washer tank we had it turned upside down. Once I rotated the sensor to the correct position, it read the fluid level correctly.

That was the problem! I turned the sensor upside down so the clip is on the bottom. Drove her all the way to work today with no problems! Thanks for help as always!
