I am not sure, but I believe the case for the c-6 is different, I know it mounts different . I dont know if the guts are the same. I looked at one at a local show and the case has better mounting tabs,,,,

Hope you don't mind my asking, but why would anyone want to exchange the differential in a C6 with one from a C5?
