My clutch engages when the pedal is almost all the way back -- a lot waisted pedal travel. Somtimes I find myself getting on the throttle before the clutch is fully engaged.
I'm wondering has anyone put on some kind of 'clutch stop' behind the pedal to shorten the travel? I did this on my M3, moved the seat back, and it worked great ...

Get an adjustable MC or just make yours adjustable. Then you can put the engagement on the pedal wherever you want it. If you're handy and you got a little free time you could do it for a few bucks with a turnbuckle and some simple tools.
Making the CMC adjustable will only move the pedal position. It won't move the engagement point. It it engages towards the top of the travel and you lower the pedal by making the CMC rod shorter, your pedal will be lower but it will still engage at the top of the pedal.

That's right. That's why I want to put a 'stop' (maybe 1") behind the pedal, so the pedal can't go back as far -- that will allow slightly quicker clutch action, and allow me to move my seat back (for my short legs).
