Halltech alternator or any other lightweight alternative?
I remember awhile back Halltech offered something he called the halternator. It was a race alternator, smaller than stock and relocated to the passenger side of the car. Just wondering if anyone has any information on this or something similar. I wanted something lightweight but also something that will clear the valvecovers (I have built a solid roller motor so valves need to be adjusted periodically). Taking off the stock belt and alternator to remove the drivers side cover will get old fast. Any help appreciated.

I'm just going from memory, but I think that unit only put out like 85-90amps at full load. Which means it might strain while trying to power all your accessories. Best bet is to try and contact Jim if possible. What about the Vortech blower kits? Don't they relocate the alternator to the passenger side?
