Looking at upgrading clutch. GM Parts Direct has a clutch, pressure plate, and disc to fit a Z06 to '02 and above for a little over $300. I was wondering if this would fit my '98. The parts directory at the dealer shows the same clutch for the '98-01 ZO6's and two different clutch assembly's for '02 and newer ZO6's. If i cannot upgrade to a z06 clutch, any recomendations?
From what I have read you can upgrade to a Z06 clutch in your car. Replace your slave cylinder while you're in there. Save you labor costs later down the road. I put in a SPEC stage III last week in my 99 and so far I love it. It grips HARD!! There is a little chatter when leaving from a stop but I can drive it so it doesn't chatter. It feels like it wants to take off really hard from a stop. Just an option. Kaley
I would make sure those prices you mentioned are including S&H. At least one of our Supporting Tuners includes their profit margin in the S&H .. Make sure you are comparing apples to apples.
Mark the price on the package is $303.59 + 60.72 shipping or $363.31
total. It includes the flywheel, clutch disc, and pressure plate. It says it is designed to fit 2001-2004 ZO6. This seems to be a great price and i am wondering if i can use it in my 98? The website is www.gmpartsdirect.com. Go to upgrades then C5.

We sell the clutch kit for 349.99 shipped and then the slave for 96.99 shipped. We have plenty in stock.
Guys mine is a '98 and I installed a '02 Z06 clutch, flywheel, master and slave cylinder and love the set-up; it works for me with drag radials. If you plan on ET Streets etc., better look elsewhere.
