Default Those with Earls SS Brake Lines - ? Within

So i purchased the earls SS brake line kit and have the front all apart.

I disconnected the stock line which has a bracket that secures the line to the inner fender well - on the new earls hoses there is no such bracket and the bracket cannot be taken off the stock line.

I tried to just connect the lines, but it just has entirely too much play for my liking - as the tension from the stock lines are making the brake lines rest on the bottom of the upper control arm...

Does anyone have this kit? what did you do?

I actually tried to call earls to ask them about this and they had No Clue on what i was talking about.

Thanks in advance.

John

I have them on mine and remember the same problem. If you look at the bracket I believe there is a nut of some sort on the top or bottom that will unscrew and allow you to use the factory brackets. It has been a long time since I did those. If this doesn't help let me know and I will get in there and look again at what I did.

I tried to disassemble the Stock Bracket from the stock brake line and without taking a dremel to it, it did not look possible.

It does come apart, I thought the same thing at first. Do you have the factory hoses separated from the brackets yet?

No, i actually put the bracket in a vice and tried to un-screw the hose, but i ended up rounding it out. If you say it does come apart - I will try it again.

Thanks

Try some oil or solvent on the threads and let it soak awhile.
