Noise from rotors
I have a C5 98 coupe with Eradispeed rotors and hawk pads. Since this modification I have encountered a strange grinding noise on both sides in the front wheels when I turn more than half of the maximum - on any side. It is perfectly reproducible and is now going on for more than a year. I have check sway bars (used new grease, used correct torque etc.) and also took off the wheel and checedk them - no indication or abraision. When the wheels are supported so the they are in the air, no noise occurs and everything is smooth. It only occurs under normal conditions on the road. Do you have any idea what could cause this noise? (it definitely is not the servo).

Your problem sounds like you have a bad ball joint on one side. Raise the car up on a lift so that the suspension is unloaded. Place a piece of pipe or other lever under the tire and apply upwards pressure. Have an assistant look at the ball joints holding the spindle assembly. There should be NO vertical movement in either one (top or bottom). If you have any visible movement - replace and do an alignment. You also might check the tie rod ends for any play and also check the shocks. I have seen a shock housing rub and make noise with suspension movement. Hope this helps.

I had the same annoying sound after changing my rotors and pads and it stopped after a few days of driving. Must be the pads seating to the rotors, but you'll notice it will be less as you drive it. GARY
