FLP issue and great customer service
In June I finally decided to ask FLP about the engine braking, and Chuck was willing to send a replacement to fix the engine braking issue. I hesitated to swap since it was a PITA to swap the transmission on my garage floor. Then it started shifting later than 6400 and began hitting the 6700 rev limiter. This week I knew it was time to call FLP again when it felt like it accellerated with the brakes applied (almost like they were locked in first gear), and stayed in gear a bit after shifting to neutral.
The FLP transmissions have a 6-month warranty, and Chuck is discounting shipping. They don't have any on the shelf, but a fresh Level 5 will show up in a few weeks!
Here's a thank you to Chuck at FLP! Great customer service.
ps - Anyone know where I can rent a lift in the SF East Bay?
