Need Some Stereo Help Please
The “rear channels are dead. When I fade to the front, the sound is terrible, like it is missing the entire high end, and when I fade to the rear there is just a little bleed over playing onthe front.
Is there an individual amp or something that I can check before I have to take it in to the dealer? I checked the two fuses labeled “bose, as well as the relay, and pulling each of them only resulted in the whole stereo going dead. I would like to trouble shoot this if I can. Any help would be great.
04 CE Vert, 1k miles and no mods….no other problems either.
Thanks
Dave

Seriously, I would take it in for warrany but if it went out that fast you might want to look for replacement. Just a thought, if you could get it warrantied, get it all replaced and then go to an audio shop and have them replace the Bose with an aftermarket, get the Bose equipment back (they should not keep it!) and sell it to get some dough back.

As far as checking, it sounds like you have checked all the user serviceable parts-fuses, relays, and such. The front lack of highs sounds like blown tweeters, the rears out sounds like blown speakers or amplifier. If the fuses and relays are good, then it doesn't look good.
