c1281 code
got this code the morning to work under heavy accel
c1281 service vehicle soon
my car is a 98 vert 6spd
i thought this was a yaw code wtf?
finnalyl got my lean codes fixed and now this
any idea?

According to the tech tips that code means:
C1281 Steering Sensor Uncorrelated Malfunction
When I get home I'll look it up in the service manual and see what it says

Do you have the service manual?
The reason I ask is I just found your code and it does mention yaw relating to the 1281 fault code.
The only advice I can offer is:
1. Erase the code and see if it stays gone
2. If not look over all of your previous work and check for loose connections, paying particular attention to the connections at the EBCM (electronic brake control module) and the connector at the rack & pinion steering unit
3. if you still have this and don't have a service manual, E-mail me and I'll copy it for you.
