Warning, reverse lockout
This may be specific to my car, but for some reason the reverse lockout does not work properly after the battery has been disconnected and the car is in idle relearn mode.
I’m not sure what the deal is, but I have now verified this only happens after my battery has been disconnected. It goes away after several minutes of stop and go driving, but it can be pretty dangerous if you are not paying attention. I'm not sure what the trigger is that makes it start working again (you actually have to stop the car a few times). It normally activates when the car goes over about 4mph.
It just wants to slip right into reverse when going to 5th if you don’t have that lockout working.
