Default Blinkers on the Blink

Last week I installed the Column Lock Bypass and now I have turn signals that randomly decide when they want to work and whe they don't want to work. I haven't gone back into the lower dash to see if something is lose yet...plan to that tomorrow. Any other ideas as to what is going on would be appreciated. Tks Doug B

There have been several vette owner with problems associated with the blinkers work sporadically. There seems to be a problem with the hazard flasher unit in some circumstances. I had an intermitent blinker problem involving my right front blinker. However, it wasn't the hazard flasher unit problem. The blub wasn't making solid contact with the wires in the blub socket. So, I used a nut pick to spring the wires inside the blub socket toward the center of the of the socket and reinserted the blub. I have had no problems since. I recommend you try improving the blub contact first. It is a cheat solution....it if works.

I had the exact same problem when I bought mine. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the hazard button by the center air vent. It cost around 350 or so but it was under warranty for me.

Thanks for the info...removed the lower dash pad, jiggled all the wires and pressed all the connectors and played around with the flasher button...for now the problem has gone away. Really don't want to remove dash pad to get to the flasher switch and wiring. Will wait and see.

There was a post on how to replace the hazarrd switch without removing the dash pad. Do a search on it, it wasn't that long ago.
