Default Non-Newbie Simple Lowering Question

Guys, I feel like a fool for asking, but:

On the rear wheels, when lying underneath the bolt looking up at it, holding the 21mm nut on top still with a wrench. Which direction do you turn the bottom (18mm) bolt to LOWER the car?

Clockwise or Counterclockwise?

Counterclockwise

You want to put more distance between the bolt head and nut

my vote is for ccw (i think). it seems that you need to back the nut off to lower it. so whatever direction backs the nut off is it (i think).

Everyone agrees it's CCW?

I think the reverse-threaded bolts up front have me a little turned around.

You turn both front and rear counterclockwise.

BTW, the front bolts are NOT reverse (LH) threaded. You want to loosen the bolts as if you were threading them up out of the top of the spring. Of course you can't thread it up out of the spring because of the bushing...but you're still turning in the same direction. I don't know why this confuses so many people, but it is a standard RH thread.

A simple way to remember thiswhen adjusting either end of the car is "loosen to lower".
