Default Seat Memory

I have the seat memory in my Z06 (probably all vettes have it) and am wondering how it works. Seems like when I turn off the car and pull the keys, the seat goes back like it should but when I get back into the car and put the key back into the ignition, the seat sometimes goes back to where I have it set and sometimes doesn't. Any ideas what I am doing wrong.

Thanks

I don't think you are doing anything wrong.
The program that moves the seat forward and back is not too intelligent. It monitors the key insertion, the opening and closing of the doors, and the lock and unlock to determine when you get out and when you get in to the car.
If you get in and out with the key left in, or if you get in and out without locking and unlocking the car, or if you do anything different then it gets confused and does move the seat as expected.
And it seems sometimes it doesn't move the seats even when everything was done predictably.

Thanks, I won't worry about it then. Maybe I will pay attention more on how I get in and out of the car to figure it out.

Technically, it's supposed to work if you use your keyfob to unlock the door. Then, when you insert your key it will move to the memory position. It works for me about 90% of the time...the other 10% I can't remember if I used the fob to unlock the doors

Well, they say your memory is the second thing to go!! But I've forgotten what the first thing to go is.

Thanks

The feature you're talking about is the "easy entry". You may or may not be
aware that you can turn this feature off in the Options of the DIC. I found it
less annoying to turn this feature off.
