I recently bought the LG exhaust system. The instructions that came with the kit were minimal. On the stock system the cats are placed just aft of the exhaust manifolds. In the photos of the LG's they're placed downstream of the X-pipe.
My question is, don't the cats have to reach a certain temp to work? Is placement in the system a concern? Would placing them in the stock loc before the x-pipe hurt performance?
How about the trash can? Just kidding!! I see you live in California so you have to keep them. I'm sure someone will chime in with some useful info though
The Random Tech. Cats require only 140 degrees to work properly! With that you can place them behind the X pipe as Lou himself recommends. Myself I put them in up front before knowing this and left them there cuz I did not want to take the stuff apart again!!!
