I saw an ad for stock Z06 rims and tires on the Forum and was wondering if they could be put on a base coupe of the same year (2004) without any mods and without sticking out of the wells. Any information would be helpful
I think they should fit fine..only thing is the tire sensors,,I don't know if the Z06 had those..assuming they did,,you should be fine..I have been looking for some chromie Z06 wheels as well but need to save some $$ first
You should be fine. I've seen plenty of C5 Coupe's with the Z06 wheels.
As for the tire sensors, maybe you can turn that function off? I know that some people add that function to their Z06. I guess the function is already in the computer on the Z06 even though they don't have run flats. What they do is have a tech go into the computer and turn it on with the Z06.
Yes, I bought some OEM Z06 wheels that were chromed by Bob at House of Wheels, and they fit fine on any year of C5 coupe/vert. Though the Z06 wheels don't come with sensors, they accept the sensors without any issues. I had the original sensors moved over to my new wheels, and they are running fine.
Adding to the original question---I thought I had seen where you could get the newer thin spokes and ZO6's in larger sizes---that being said, what seems to be the optimum front and rear wheel plus sizes and what has everyone done for rubber?
I was after a 19 or 20 in the rear at least 10" wide with a 295 or wider tire. Suggestions....opinions?

Well, actually they stick out about 3 to 5 mm. But from a distance it looks perfect flush. I have them on my coupe for years now.
