Does anyone know a good site to buy GM Parts. I hate going to the dealer. I went today to try and get some parts for a service bulletin to fix a headlight problem and after 20 minutes of me educating them as to where to find the bulletin, they came back with the bulletin printed out but then the parts department told me the part numbers didn't exist. After some proding the figured out what I was looking for. (those stupid white plastic stops for the headlights) and told me that they were $7 each. After I finished laughing at the idea of paying $30 for 2 metal washers and 3 plastic stops they told me that it would be a week before they even got them in. As usual I left in a less than happy mood.
All I want is to find a dealer online that lets me search for the parts by name or number and lets me order them without having to talk to someone or wait for a return call or email. I know I can do this for my girlfriends Honda. I do it for my BMW. There has to be a Chevy dealership that offers this service.
My dealer (and others in the area) gives a 25% discount to local club members. They usually will beat or match the on-line prices. Maybe you should talk to the parts department manager about a discount.

Try gmpartsdirect.com -- They usually blow away everyone else. Don't get hung up on the shipping charges as a 75 dollar part with 15 dollars shipping is still way cheaper than the same part at 110 with free shipping.
Call Bob in parts at Firchner Chev., a suppporting vendor, great service and the prices are hard to beat. In addition they do not gouge you on shipping and handling the way another supplier does and I am not talking about BEAN Chev.
Many part#'s that are listed in TSB's can not be looked up by application by the parts personel and in most cases the parts guy does not have access to a TSB.In these cases, you have to supply them with the part# in the TSB
We will meet or beat any price by another other GM dealer period. We will sell for the same or less as GMPD and you will get your parts quicker. Remember, always compare prices after shipping is included!!
